A 26-year-old China Eastern Airlines flight attendant identified only as Jiao was allegedly fired by the carrier after being surprised by their boyfriend while on duty with a mid-flight marriage proposal.

The couple embraced shortly after the marriage proposal. According to reports, her superiors at China Eastern Airlines terminated her after deciding that the public display was unprofessional.
