China Approves Marriott and Starwood Deal

Marriott International announced Tuesday that the Chinese Ministry of Commerce had approved its acquisition of Starwood Hotels and Resorts, a move that was the final regulatory approval needed to complete the merger of the two companies. Once the closing transaction is completed on September 23,  Marriott will become the largest hotel company in the world.
