China Airlines: New Nonstop TPE-AMS Service

Taiwan’s China Airlines is set to provide non-stop service from Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) to Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS) effective December 2, 2016. The airline plans to deploy one of its new three class (business, premium economy, economy) A350-900s for the routes. By switching to non-stop service and featuring a brand new A350 CAL, China Airlines hopes to attract business passengers who generally pay higher fares for flights departing Taiwan. The move appears to be an effort to keep pace with KLM, which already offers non-stop service between Amsterdam and Taipei, as well as with fellow Taiwanese rival carrier Eva Air, which operates in Bangkok.
