Checkpoint Delays Caused 7,000 Missed March Flights

Denver Airport Security

A House Oversight Committee hearing on misconduct by the Transportation Security Administration has found that nearly 7,000 American Airlines passengers were forced to miss their flights in March due to delays caused by TSA security checkpoints. “I think there is a growing concern as a management challenge what’s happening in terms of wait times. So for example, 600 passengers missed their flights in Charlotte, N.C. on Good Friday, because of wait times that exceeded three hours,” said Rep. Gerald Connolly (D-Va.) on Thursday. Reports in April showed that almost 6,800 American Airlines passengers missed their flights between March 14th and 20th, the majority of which occurred in Los Angeles, Miami, Atlanta, Dallas and Philadelphia.

I have to agree with you KRSW. The TSA checkpoint concept is so out of date and totally ineffective, but what the heck management keeps getting bonuses.
