Cheap First Class Flights for Two From Amsterdam to Anywhere

If you’re planning to fly abroad in the near future, consider making Amsterdam your first stop. The city of canals is gorgeous AND we’ve found terribly cheap Star Alliance deals from Amsterdam Schiphol to almost anywhere else for as cheap as $1700 per person. If you’re looking for a last-minute Valentine’s Day gift, booking one of these flights might do the trick.

The Companion Flight Deal

The companion flight deals are only valid for two flyers – though we did find some discounted fares for solos in Google Flights as well. Your time to book ahead is also limited: Premium Economy flights must be booked at least four days in advance, while business class must be booked at least seven days in advance and first-class flights must be booked 14 days in advance. You can find the sale page through the Lufthansa website for Premium Economy, Business Class and First Class.

In first-class, some of the companion fare sales we found include:

• Amsterdam to Bangkok: $2,045.50 per person
• Amsterdam to Singapore: $2,048 per person
• Amsterdam to Johannesburg: $2,263.50 per person

Although the prices weren’t as low as originally reported, there is still plenty of availability for companion fares originating from Amsterdam. To qualify for these fares, two people have to be booked on the same itinerary. Although the fares we found were for the same class of service, you can mix service classes on the ticket: That is, fly one way in premium economy or business, and fly the other way in business or first.

Coming to Amsterdam

If you are planning to fly to Amsterdam, you should know that while all major airlines fly through the busy airport, Schiphol is dominated by Delta and their trans-Atlantic partners, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and Air France. Depending on when you travel, you can still get a good deal to Amsterdam for a long trip.

When we searched Google Flights, we found flights for under $600 per person in economy departing from Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR). As with all premium fare deals, your final price may vary.
