Carriers Flying Into EU Will Now Help Thwart Terrorism

The European Parliament passed a measure Thursday that now requires airlines flying through the European Union (EU) to share passenger information with authorities as part of a new effort to monitor terrorist activity, according to CNN.

“By collecting, sharing and analyzing … information, our intelligence agencies can detect patterns of suspicious behavior to be followed up (on),” said said Timothy Kirkhope, a member of the EU.
