I suppose none of you have ever had an agent remove anything from your bags before? Maybe not put said item back in or break it while it was out?! My husband and I both have had this happen. TSA was so kind as to leave their calling card paper behind one time. Perhaps the agent who did didn't realize the other agent stole something. Can you really not see them opening and goofing off with this expensive guitar and putting it back after breaking it? I can. It happens daily with wheel chairs they play with of drop.

You would think that a professional musician w\uld have his instrument insured. Also that the airline has insurance for such occasions. Either way, he should be made whole for his loss, so what's the point of the story?

If that instrument was shipped in that hard case, why didn't the hard case show any damage? This smells like the passenger trying for an airline payday....guitar was probably broken elsewhere.
