Brussels Airport Reopens Departures Hall

Brussels Airport (BRU) has officially reopened its departures hall for the first time since it was damaged during a suicide bomb attack in March. The airport announced that the reopening was “an important symbol of the recovery of our country a mere 40 days after the 22 March attacks that hit the airport in its heart,” according to Arnaud Feist, CEO of Brussels Airport Company. Desks for 111 check-in clerks have re-opened, as well as 36 desks in the temporary construction zones. Additional security measures have been enforced by airport security since the March attack.
