BA Profits Soar, Probe Over

Willie Walsh, boss of British Airways owner IAG, announced the end of the investigation into the IT meltdown that grounded tens of thousands of passengers. The inquiry “revealed nothing new” and confirmed that the cause of the meltdown was an inadvertent cutting of power followed by an unauthorized and incorrect restoration.

Mr. Walsh also announced that IAG’s profits are “soaring” and that passenger numbers are slightly higher than usual.
