British Airways Announces Company’s Longest Flight Ever

British Airways has announced the launch of the airline’s only direct flight between London and Santiago, Chile next January 3. Using a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, the flight will take approximately 14 hours and 40 minutes, and British Airways’ longest flight is currently 13 hours and 50 minutes to Buenos Aires. Alex Cruz, Chairman and CEO of British Airways, said: “In recent years we have been increasing our services to South and Central America, reflecting the area’s continued growth in both business and tourism.”
