Boeing Finalizes Billion Dollar Iran Deal

On Sunday, Iran Air sealed a government-approved deal worth $16.6 billion with Boeing for 80 aircraft. The approval to sell the jets initially came in September, but the aircraft manufacturer had to “wait for a license for the Iran Air deal from the U.S. Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control” to move forward, according to USA Today.

Iran Air is also reportedly close to closing a deal with airbus that involves the delivery of 50-60 aircraft.
