Boeing CEO Confident in Company Accounting
Dennis Muilenburg, Boeing’s CEO, defended the manufacturer’s accounting practices, which are allegedly under scrutiny, at an investor gathering on Wednesday. Last week, the company’s shares plummeted when the media reported that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission would probe how the company manages its spending in making the 787 Dreamliner and the 747. Though the Committee is also skeptical of Boeing’s sales forecasts being too optimistic, Muilenburg said Boeing is “very confident” in its accounting.
