Boeing 737 Max’s First Flight

Boeing’s 737 Max, the redesigned version of the long-lived model that’s more fuel-efficient, completed its maiden flight in defiance of inclement weather conditions, taking off over Lake Washington to the delight of thousands of cheering Boeing employees. The flight crew reports that all standard flight checks have been completed satisfactorily, and the 737 Max will be cleared for takeoff again tomorrow, starting the certification process in earnest.
