BA Faces Fine for Barbados Flight With Insufficient Toilet Paper

British Airways is facing a possible price tag of £291,200 after a toilet paper shortage occurred on a flight from London’s Gatwick Airport (LGW) to Barbados caused delays. Additionally, the presence of “the wrong kind of headphones” aboard the flight only added to the issue. Under current European passengers’ rights regulations, travelers could be entitled to thousands of pounds for the delays.

One passenger reported that the flight’s captain was blunt about the reason for delays: “He told us the outbound Gatwick to Bridgetown plane wasn’t prepared satisfactorily […] He said in 26 years of flying he had never had such an experience that impacted on crew and passengers.”
