App Lets Passengers Upgrade at Last Minute

Australian start-up Seatfrog has developed an app that allows passengers the ability to upgrade their flight seats even up to the last minute before boarding. Using the smartphone app, users can bid for premium seats, which in turn allow airlines to fill seat vacancies. Currently, the app is only available in private beta mode, and Seatfrog has plans to launch globally later this year, although the company has not revealed whether the app will be available for both Android and iOS as a full release.
