Anti-Drone System to Be Tested at U.S. Airports
A system developed by three British companies that can jam signals to small drones will soon be tested at select U.S. airports. The technology, called the Anti-UAV Defense System (Auds), uses a radio signal to stop a drone while it’s in use.
“A thermal imaging camera allows the Auds operator to target the unwanted drone before signal jamming, via a high-powered radio signal, is activated,” BBC News reports. The airports will be chosen by the Federal Aviation Administration.
