Another Airplane Slides Off O’Hare Runway

United Airlines Flight 734 slid off of the runway and onto the grass after landing at Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) Friday afternoon, likely due to extreme weather conditions, according to United spokesperson Charles Hobart.

This is the second time in the last three and half weeks that a plane has slid off of O’Hare’s newest runway, including a Dec. 30 United flight which continued past the end of the runway before coming to a stop in an overrun area, airport officials said. No injuries were reported in either of the two incidents.
