ANA Leaves Thousands Without Luggage
All Nippon Airways reportedly left thousands of passengers flying out of Haneda Airport (HND) without luggage last Friday after a conveyor belt suffered a malfunction.
The airline released a handwritten apology, claiming they hoped passengers are “understanding” and noted congestion at HND. Kyodo News, a Japanese news outlet, reported a some 2,080 pieces of luggage were left behind because of the incident, which occurred during Japan’s popular Obon holiday season.
