ANA Adds Two Anime-Inspired Aircraft to Fleet

The Japanese air carrier announced the launch of a second 777-300ER with a Pokémon theme for international travel, and three “Demon Slayer” inspired DHC8-400 airframes for service within the nation.
Anime-Inspired Liveries to Create Unique Experiences for Flyers and Families
The new Pokémon-inspired jet – named “Eevee Jet NH” – is the second collaboration with The Pokémon company for ANA, after the launch of the Pikachu Jet in June 2023. The aircraft will be adorned on the outside with both the famous Pikachu, along with the Pokémon Eevee and all of its various evolution options.
On the inside, flyers in economy and premium economy will be treated to themed experiences inside. In addition to the flight attendants wearing special uniforms, flyers will receive paper cups, napkins, and headrest covers featuring the world inspired by the video games. All flyers will be greeted by music which “brings the world of Pokémon to life,” and will receive a certificate commemorating their flight.
“With an air of hope, they take off on a journey into the skies together with people flying to new places,” ANA writes about the new aircraft livery. “This design approach underscores ANA’s commitment to inspiring its employees, customers and society to explore endless possibilities with diverse connections that begin in the sky.”
Eevee jet will enter service on August 31, 2023, and can be found flying between Tokyo Haneda Airport (HND) and London, San Francisco, and New York, among other routes.
Pokémon isn’t the only anime that will get the flying treatment with ANA. For domestic connections, ANA will introduce three DHC8-400 aircraft with special liveries inspired by the TV series “Demon Slayer.” The final liveries will be introduced on July 14, 2023, with travelers receiving special stickers which can unlock augmented reality photo frames for flyers. This expands the airline’s previous brand collaboration introduced nearly two years ago.

They said the magic words! I am going to Japan later this year or next year and flying from one of these airports. Let me find out I'm flying on an anime plane.
It looks nice actually. Really love that. Not just those boring clearly white aircrafts.
Wow! Wow wow wow! I'm cancelling all my current reservations and moving to Japan so that I can fly on comic book inspired aircraft. Nah just kidding ... don't mind aircraft graphics inspired by national traditions, scenery, symbolism etc ... but comic books "ain't gunna swing it" for me.
