American Pushes Back Vaccination Deadline Until Jan. 4

American Airlines is pushing back their COVID-19 vaccination deadline not because of employee feedback but based on government action.
American Airlines pilots and employees will have a temporary reprieve on the COVID-19 vaccination deadline.

CNBC reports the carrier will push back the vaccine mandate to January 4, 2022, based on a change handed down from the White House.

Biden Administration Pushes Back Federal Deadline by 27 Days

American’s move comes after the Biden Administration announced they would push back the deadline for federal contractors by 27 days. The change in deadline gives companies holding federal contracts more time to ensure their workers are fully prepared for the changes.

As a result, the carrier is giving their workers more time to get the shot to stay employed. Executives informed the U.S. and Latin America-based workforce about the new requirement in a letter. In addition to granting more time, the carrier is offering one extra vacation day and $50 to everyone who gets inoculated.

The pushed deadline comes as pilots have challenged the need for mandatory vaccinations, claiming they could jeopardize aviator’s careers. In September 2021, the Allied Pilots Association said roughly 4,200 captains and first officers were unvaccinated, claiming the workers were hesitant to get vaccinated “…based upon concerns about the potential for career-ending side effects.”

American announced they would create an internal vaccine mandate in October 2021, after an executive order required all companies holding federal contracts to ensure their employees are inoculated against the novel Coronavirus causing COVID-19. Days later, the APA announced they would begin talks with the airline about the terms, without fully endorsing the move.

Southwest Pilots Union Remains Defiant Over Vaccinations

Even though cross-town rival Southwest Airlines is expected to also push back their vaccination deadline, employees continue to rally against the requirements. After workers staged a protest in front of the company’s headquarters, a federal judge tossed out a lawsuit from the workers asking for the mandate to be tossed out.

Because things will get tough when bunches of employees are let go, that's why.

I had my stalker/ theif and social media influencer make a very elaborate post on here as Tom Williams . Im not sure at this time if hes going oe gone ahead with his scam possibly just kept my rental car longer like he did at enterprise rental car. Must have family on board with the scam that work at Avis and Enterprise. But a scam on anything any overcharge being my previous neighbor has made doing so a way of life and threatened in writing and has held true on his promise it's already know who did so or gave my information away to make it possible. The scam witch must take having limitless amounts of time on your hands and focusing on another to extemes is called Dox or Doxing I learned.  This guy is different than most as he brags about doing so online via fake profile however.
So is is excess charges not returned Slim or Darryl and was this actually close to the cost of the actual rental rented In my name?  And is [email protected] and [email protected] are those more bogus emails.  So this was your way of confirming whats already known for you did with both Avis and Enterprise.  About your other social media influencing about stealing a person vehicle and bashing the windows out of it and trying to make the person the vehicle has been stolen from was  on the hook for fixing another persons vandalism after atealing?
