American Gets a New Board Member: Martin Nesbitt

Chicago financial executive Martin Nesbitt has just been named the newest member on the American Airlines Group board of directors. The 52-year-old is currently co-CEO of Chicago-based equity firm The Vistria Group, which seeks to invest in education, financial services and healthcare in the United States.

Nesbitt, regarded widely as a civic leader, is also a chairman of the Barack Obama Foundation – where he continues to carry out the President’s vision of the Barack Obama Presidential Center in Chicago’s South Side – and served as a board member on Chicago’s 2016 Olympic Committee.
