American Express Unveils Refreshed Centurion Lounge Experience in Seattle

The American Express Centurion Lounge is back in business at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, sporting new looks and local flavors for flyers.
It’s back and bigger than ever: Amex has revealed its revamped Centurion Lounge at SEA.

Spacious and stylish, it features plenty of amenities, plus a unique menu by Seattle-based chef, Kristi Brown.

On Wednesday, February 15, 2023, American Express unveiled its refreshed Centurion Lounge at Seattle–Tacoma International Airport (SEA).

A Stylish and Functional Space

At 14,000 square feet, this new area – which is located after security in the new mezzanine level of the airport’s Central Terminal – is almost triple the size of the facility’s original Centurion Lounge. In addition to offering Amex members beautiful views of the adjacent runway and the Olympic Mountains, this stylish space – which features a striking mural by mixed-media artist Harold Caudio – has plenty of seating, quiet workspaces, private phone rooms and additional restrooms.

Standard Centurion Amenities Plus Unique Food and Drink Offerings

As with any other Centurion Lounge location, high-speed Wi-Fi and signature cocktails are always available, but the SEA outpost offers Amex members a unique range of locally inspired food and drink. Kristi Brown, chef of the city’s Communion Restaurant and Bar, brings the fusion flavors of her “Seattle Soul” cuisine to the lounge, where the menu will feature dishes such as Trinidadian Spiced Pork Belly and Blackened Chicken Cobb Salad.

Staying true to Seattle’s famous coffee culture, SEA’s Centurion Lounge boasts a full-service coffee bar, Blue Roast by American Express. The very first of its kind within The Centurion network, the café serves a range of coffee-based drinks by local roaster Caffè Umbria plus smoothies, kombucha and a lighter food menu.

Commenting on the updated lounge at SEA, Amex’s Pablo Rivero, Vice President & General Manager, Global Lounge Experiences, said in a statement, “The new Centurion Lounge at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport delivers exactly what card members want while traveling – more space to relax and recharge and fantastic food and drink. Inspired by the vibrant Seattle dining and coffee scene, this lounge showcases the best of what Seattle has to offer, including a custom menu from the talented Chef Kristi Brown and our first full-service coffee bar with locally-roasted beans Seattle is known for.”
