American Equity Group Approaches Alitalia

Cerberus Capital Management, an American equity firm, has reportedly expressed interest in purchasing Alitalia, the embattled Italian carrier, provided that Alitalia undergoes a full restructuring. Cerberus claims that it might be willing to make an investment of between €100-400 million for control of the airline.
