American Axes Chicago-Beijing, Adds Caribbean, Hawaii Flights

Due to an allegedly underperforming route, American Airlines will be ceasing service to Beijing from Chicago on October 22 of this year, but will also be adding routes to Honolulu and four Caribbean destinations in an effort to remain competitive with United Airlines.

American went on to confirm that it has plans to open a route to the new Beijing airport once it’s opened.
