American Airlines: Let Them Eat Avocado Toast

In what would be a non-story in the absence of hand-wringing thinkpieces about millennial culinary choices as portents of cultural decay and self-indulgence, American Airlines has begun serving complimentary avocado toast at the Admirals Club in San Francisco International Airport (SFO)’s Terminal 2. The offering consists of avocado spread across toasted bread.

Frequent flyers can customize their controversial snacks with toppings such as eggs, prosciutto, salmon, and tomato, and is now on offer daily between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m.

Amazing! Let us have our avocado toast in peace. Avocados are rich in antioxidants and so-called good fats, in any case, which contributes to better heart health and cholesterol readings. Their creamy texture replaces less fit-friendly alternatives like butter, margarine, cream cheese, mayonnaise, etc., in your favorite foods. Plus, they are delicious!
