Alaska & Icelandair Partner Once Again

Alaska Airlines and Icelandair announced plans Wednesday to partner once again for a codeshare and frequent-flyer pact. The rekindled partnership, which previously spanned from 2010 to 2013, will allow for single-ticket itinerary connections from one to another, reciprocal mileage-earning benefits and more. To celebrate the partnership, Alaska has announced a new limited-time promotion that allows members of its frequent flyer program to earn double miles flying via Icelandair.

The codeshare pact will officially launch on November 1, pending regulatory approval. Reciprocal mileage-earning benefits will begin on October 1.
