Alaska Airlines Delivers 11 Tons of Fish to Seattle

On Friday morning, 22,000 pounds of fresh Copper River salmon arrived in Seattle on an Alaska Airlines flight from Cordova, Alaska, thus signalling the beginning of the summer salmon grilling season.

“Alaska Airlines plays a significant role in supporting the Alaska seafood industry, which is recognized worldwide for its sustainable fishing practices,” said Alaska Air Cargo managing director Jason Berry.

Additionally, Alaska is slated to deliver as much as 77,000 pounds of the fish to Anchorage, Alaska and the Lower 48.
