Airports Clash With A4E Over Rise in Prices
Following recent commotion over the cost of a planned runway at Dublin Airport (DUB), Airlines for Europe (A4E) claims that airports have raised their charges by 80 percent since 2005. However, based on data released by Airports Council International Thursday, the top 21 airports in Europe “increased their passenger charges by €2.85 a-head between 2005 and last year, which was 25.4 percent.”
