Airport Honors Cristiano Ronaldo With Name Change, Statue

Madeira Airport (FNC) is changing its name to Cristiano Ronaldo International Airport to honor the soccer star, who grew up in Madeira. The decision to change the name was reportedly made by local regional government chief Miguel Albuquerque after Ronaldo captained a team that won the UEFA European Championship in France last year.

FNC now also features a statue of Ronaldo and a museum dedicated to him.

Not sure I'd consider that statue a honor.
