Airport Employee Finds, Doesn’t Keep $74,404 on Plane

Ahmet Kanat, an airport employee at Istanbul Atatürk Airport (IST), turned in currency worth $74,404 after discovering it aboard an aircraft. Seemingly left by a passenger along with a smartphone and a wristwatch, the money was left under a blanket that Kanat found underneath a blanket as he was cleaning the aircraft.
The money and personal effects were returned to the passenger who had misplaced them.
