Best for those Spirit Airlines pax to get a little cuddle in with a kitten before having to involuntarily cuddle a seat-mate.

Although Kirby has a point, the way it came out was not the best in terms of PR. United has a serious image problem, from the forced deboarding fiasco(s) to the dead dog in the overhead. Speaking too bluntly will keep making United the airline everyone loves to hate.

If United is only doing this in basic economy I get it. These are the bargain basement of fares and purposely come with nothing but a no assigned seat. You want a cheap seat. You get a cheap seat. That said United should make some effort not to look mean at every turn. They really have made a joke of the friendly skies. Go DELTA!!!
