Airlines in Talks With Belfast International for U.S. Route
Belfast International Airport (BFS) is reportedly in talks with multiple airlines about a new route to the U.S., according to a spokeswoman for the airport. The deals in discussion come after United Airlines announced last year that it would be ending its route – which officially closes Monday – from BFS to New York because of financial performance. However, per the Belfast Telegraph, “passenger growth rates at Belfast International Airport increased by 17.2% last year, with 5.15 million passengers.”
