Airline Offers Emojis to Help Travelers

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines’ most recent service to help travelers heading to an unknown destination is based around emojis.

To use the feature, simply send a matching emoji based on your desired attraction to KLM’s Messenger, and the airline will reply with an address that is closest to you. For example, if you’re looking for Italian food, send a pizza slice emoji.

“We believe we should be where our customers are and therefore KLM and Messenger are the perfect fit,” said Tjalling Smit, Senior Vice President E-Commerce Air France KLM. The service is available worldwide.
