Airfare to Drop to Three-Year Low

According to Hopper.com’s Consumer Airfare Index, the cost of airline tickets will drop to a three-year low of $210 this month.

Thanks to rapidly dropping oil prices, January’s Consumer Airfare Index is 2.5% lower than December’s, and more than 14% lower than last year’s. Prices will rise through in spring, however, likely peaking in June at about $20 below 2015 levels.
