Aircraft Manufacturer to Lay Off 1K Employees

Aircraft manufacturer Airbus has announced that, as part of a company restructuring plan, it will be cutting 1,164 jobs at the end of September 2017. The plan, which also sees the transfer of another 325 positions, comes after the merge of Airbus Group and Airbus Commercial Aircraft on Jan. 1, 2017.

“These reductions will mainly affect support and integrated functions as well as the CTO organization,” the company said.
