Aircraft Collide at Southern California Airport

Two aircraft – both owned by Southwest Airlines – collided at Bob Hope Airport (BUR) Sunday, leaving over 200 flyers with delays. Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Ian Gregor said one Southwest flight was pushing away from a gate when it backed into the other, which was grounded at an adjacent gate.

The FAA reported that the crash took place in an area of BUR where air traffic controllers don’t guide the jets. No injuries were reported.
