Airbus Makes Fault Detector Deal With easyJet

In an effort to combat aircraft malfunctions, easyJet has struck a deal with aircraft manufacturer Airbus to install fault-finding technology in 300 of its fleet of Airbus jets. According to easyJet Chief Executive Johan Lundgren, the idea is to reduce the number of maintenance issues down from approximately three per 1,000 flights to zero, and the agreement reached between the two companies is contracted to last for five years.
