Airbus Looking to Algae for Fuel
Though it’s not likely to fuel aircraft anytime soon, Airbus researchers are reportedly attempting to make flying more eco-friendly by growing algae in Munich for biofuel. An associate professor of industrial biocatalysis at Munich Technical University predicts the fuel could supply “up to five percent of jet fuel needs by 2050.”
