Air Caraïbes Plans to Launch a New Route From Mexico in October

Air Caraibes

While many airlines are cutting back due to the coronavirus, French carrier Air Caraïbes is launching a new route. The new route will be to Mexico in October. This new, long-haul route will connect Paris-Orly with Cancun beginning in October.

This is Air Caraïbes’ first flight to service Mexico and will fill a gap in the market created by the shuttering of XL Airways France last year which offered roughly 200,000 seats on this route annually. The route will fly an Airbus A330-200 and will initially operate two flights per week on October 15 and increase to three flights per week in December.

Air Caraïbes also plans to resume three routes that were suspended during the coronavirus pandemic on June 12: from Paris-Orly to Pointe-à-Pitre in Guadeloupe, Fort-de-France in Martinique, and Cayenne in French Guiana.
