African Woman Files Suit Against UA After Being Booted for “Odor”

African Woman Files Suit Against UA After Being Booted for “Odor”

Queen Obioma, a Nigerian United Airlines passenger, has filed a lawsuit alleging racial discrimination on the part of United Airlines after she and her two children were removed from a flight after a confrontation with a white passenger in business class who alleged that she was “pungent.”

The man, who allegedly sat in her seat in business class and refused to move even after asked to do so by a flight attendant, marched up to the cockpit and demanded that the mother of two be removed from the flight, according to the discrimination suit.

A spokesperson for United Airlines claims that the airline is looking into the incident.

Even if she was stinking that bad, United handled it very unprofessionally. I have a hard time understanding how trained employees who allegedly have already seen it all can go on acting like third-class rookies so easily.

Most frequent fliers have had at least some passing experience with malodorous neighbors, and it can ruin an otherwise pleasant travel experience. If this woman does not understand basic hygiene, then somebody needs to teach her. Sadly, it has become de rigueur for every black passenger who has been inconvenienced in any way to claim racism. The press loves to run with that headline, but I have rarely seen these claims proved true. Within the past couple weeks, FT ran another headline about a woman who was removed from a flight for being “fat and black.” She was actually removed for spilling over into her neighbor’s seat, assaulting the neighbor, and simply acting like a hair-hatted hooligan. It sounds like this Nigerian Queen simply “stink, stank, stunk.” They said the same of the Grinch, but nobody said it was because he was green.

It does appear very peculiar that, assuming her affidavit is truthful, the male passenger was allowed to remain in the wrong seat, and then conducted some sort of vendetta against her

Something smells very fishy – and I don’t think in this case it was Queen Obioma …
