Aeroflot Flight Ends in Bruises, Fractures

On Monday, an Aeroflot flight from Sheremetyevo International Airport (SVO) to Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) experienced severe turbulence after hitting an “air hole” as it made its descent into Bangkok, resulting in the injury of at least 27 passengers aboard the flight. In particular, 24 Russians and three Thai citizens were injured, having sustained serious fractures and bruising as a result of the turbulence.

“Some injured passengers were not wearing seat belts,” said The Airport Authority of Thailand in a statement. All victims were taken to a local hospital with various injuries, mostly fractures and bruises. Some require surgery. Fifteen people remain hospitalized.”
