Aer Lingus Apologizes After Delaying Passengers for 50 Hours

Passengers flying with Aer Lingus from Orlando over the weekend were scheduled to arrive at Dublin Airport (DUB) Sunday, but after a 50-hour delay, the flyers did not reach their destination until Tuesday. “We were kept for hours and hours waiting for hotels and buses,” said passenger Patricia Butt. “I feel exhausted and drained.”

An airline spokeswoman apologized and claims the Airbus A330 set to carry the 266 passengers experienced technical problems and a replacement aircraft was later shipped in after issues with the initial aircraft could not be remedied.
