AA to Pay $9.8 Million in Disabilities Lawsuit

American Airlines is set to pay out $9.8 in stock in order to settle claims that the airline put disabled employees on unpaid leave in lieu of making efforts to accommodate them with reassignments. The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission found that the carrier was in violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act at several points between 2009 and 2015.
