AA Reducing Cuba Fares
As it plans flights to Cuba, American Airlines has temporarily reduced fares for the routes, which connect through Miami.
According to The Charlotte Observer, “Under the discount, travelers can book a round trip from Charlotte to any of five Cuban cities [Cienfuegos, Holguín, Camagüey, Santa Clara and Varadero] for $298, before taxes.”

Spoon fed news from a press release. How about a little substance? Yes it would nice if AA flew into Havana
Reducing fares or is just a matter the airlines don't know at this point what the market will actually be to Cuba?
"How can I have another nutter-butter cookie if I haven't had one yet?" In other words, how can American "reduce" fares on flights it's never sold before? The word "reduce" doesn't seem to make sense in this context. Is American offering "introductory fares"? It sounds like it. But to call them "reducing fares", that makes no sense to me.
