AA Puts ‘W’ Towels Across Seats to Support Chicago Cubs

American Airlines, the official airline of the Chicago Cubs as of February, placed towels emblazoned with a blue letter “W” on the back of every seat aboard select flights from Chicago to Los Angeles on Tuesday and Friday of last week. The “W” is in reference to the Cubs Win Flag, which is waved by fans at Wrigley Field during every victory by the team at its home stadium.

The carrier also gave away about 5,000 additional towels to flyers at O’Hare International Airport (ORD) Admirals Club lounges during the week to further cement their connection to the Chicago Cubs as the playoff season moves along.
