AA Is Changing Their Nuts
In a recent newsletter, American Airlines has announced that it is changing the makeup of its onboard nut snacks because of changing nut prices worldwide.
In a newsletter, Hector Adler, the airline’s vice president for flight service, said, “It’s true that there have been more cashews in the mix. Nuts are a commodity and are subject to forces of supply and demand, and earlier this year almond prices were on the rise, resulting in a larger percentage of cashews…”
Adler went on to say that this year’s blend, however, will feature greater amounts of almonds and pecans than it will cashews because of the nut market.
