AA Flight Hits Deer During Takeoff

During takeoff for a flight from Charlotte, North Carolina to Gulfport, Mississippi on Wednesday, American Airlines Flight 5320 struck a deer on the runway, forcing the flight to return. Officials reported that none of the 44 passengers and four crew members aboard the flight were injured as a result of the deer-striking.

Not the first it's happened there (per the linked USA Today story). So does CLT need to install some sort of deer-on-the-runway detector to warn planes?
