AA Exec Ousted Due to Uniform Fiasco
Fern Fernandez, the erstwhile Vice President of Global Marketing for American Airlines, has submitted his resignation from the carrier on the heels of the crisis caused by American Airlines’ partnership with clothing manufacturer Twin Hill. Negative response with the uniforms provided by Twin Hill have persisted among flight crews, including respiration issues and skin irritation, and Fernandez has been closely tied to the debacle as a result of his involvement with the deal between the two companies.
Fernandez was quoted as saying that, as of May 26, he plans to spend time with his family. “I only get one chance at being the father and husband my family deserves,” he said.
