AA Destroys Pro Surfer’s Boards
Professional surfer Alex Gray took to social media recently to reveal the damage American Airlines had done to four of his surfboards on a flight from Hawaii to Los Angeles.
In his Instagram post, Gray said “…what stings the most is #americanairlines charged me $150 in excess fees to allow this destruction. I paid for all of this! Why is other sporting equipment free?!”
Gray went on to say that he will use his platform “in hopes of a change for once in this ongoing ‘surfboards VS airlines’ dilemma.”

A release was signed removing AA of any liability to damages that may occur. However I wonder if this still protects them from gross negligence which obviously has happened?
