25 Unruly Passengers Booted From Flight

Twenty-four Irish men (and one 14-year-old Irish boy) were removed from a Thomson Airlines flight to Costa Rica on Monday morning due to causing excessive trouble while drunk aboard the airliner. The plane had not yet left the runway at Gatwick Airport (LGW) when the captain, who had “never seen anything like it in 20 years,” according to passenger Sally Ferguson, ejected the drunk holidaymakers from the flight due to abusive behavior and public intoxication. A spokeswoman for Thomson Airways said: “We operate a zero tolerance policy in relation to any disruptive behaviour and several customers were asked to leave the aircraft. We worked as quickly as possible to ensure the other customers could get away on their holiday.”
